Blonde Dolphin ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal relationship management app designed to help you remember the people you care about. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
By using Blonde Dolphin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Blonde Dolphin service:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials (including Apple Sign-In tokens where applicable).
- Contact data: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and photos of contacts you choose to add or import into the app. We only access contacts you explicitly select.
- Notes and interactions: Text notes, voice-to-text transcriptions, and interaction records you create within the app.
- Photos: Images you upload as contact avatars or interaction photos.
- Reminders: Reminder details and schedules you create.
- Device information: We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or analytics beyond what is necessary for authentication.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Provide the core Blonde Dolphin service (storing contacts, notes, reminders, and photos).
- Enhance your notes using AI processing (see Section 5).
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your session.
- Send local on-device notifications for reminders you have set.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit. Row-level security policies ensure that only you can access your own data.
Photos and avatars are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls tied to your account.
Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth, supporting email/password and Apple Sign-In.
5. Third-Party Services
Blonde Dolphin uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, file storage, and edge functions. Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing to enhance and tidy your notes. When you save a note, its text content may be sent to Anthropic's API for processing. No personally identifiable information beyond the note content is shared. Anthropic Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign-In — If you choose to sign in with Apple, authentication tokens are exchanged with Apple's servers. Apple Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual contacts, notes, or reminders at any time within the app.
7. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you delete your account:
- All contacts, notes, interactions, reminders, groups, and photos are permanently removed.
- Your authentication record is deleted.
- This action is irreversible.
8. Children's Privacy
Blonde Dolphin is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (available via the in-app account deletion feature).
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
- Request a portable copy of your data.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
